The Bright and Morning Star

The Bright and Morning Star B. Keith Chadwell

This is the third of a series of 4 studies; 1. A Time and Times the Dividing of Time ;
2. Morning by Morning; 3. The Bright and Morning Star; 4. Full Daylight Comes
As the studies are posted on www.highcountryministry.com and may be accessed from the teachings page.

Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in
the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright
and morning star.

Father in Heaven, grant for us, your children, through Jesus Christ, to open the eyes of our understanding, that we might see those things that are ours and are in your will to reveal at this time.
The natural morning star is what we now know as the planet Venus. Jesus is referenced in the Bible as; "the Bright and Morning Star" in spiritual terms. Therefore, we should look at the natural characteristics of Venus to see any possible metaphoric or spiritual parallels. We do this in keeping with previous revelations of other spiritual mysteries hidden by God in types and shadows, parables and metaphors.

One of the characteristics of the star, Venus:

Venus reaches its maximum brightness shortly before sunrise or shortly after sunset.

For this reason it is often called the Morning Star. Therefore, as "the bright and morning star" it is the brightest star in the darkness of the heavens just before the dawning of the early morning sun. There are other physical and astrological characteristics that may be applicable but for now, let's consider the one listed above. (Continue reading)

Morning by Morning

Morning by Morning…
B. Keith Chadwell

This is the second of a series of 4 studies;

1. A Time and Times the Dividing of Time 2. Morning by Morning 3. The Bright and Morning Star   4. Full Daylight Comes

Each of these studies are posted on www.highcountryministry.com  and may be accessed from the teachings page.

In the natural, there are two distinct parts of a 24 hour day which is "day light" as opposed to "the night" or "the dark".  For comparison purposes, a 24 hour day is pretty much equally divided between "day light" and "the darkness".

The brightest light of the "day light" portion of the day is at noon time.  At noon time the sun is at its highest and brightest and therefore lacking angle to an object, casts no shadow of that object directly under it.    Variations occur in the natural, such as angle of the sun and length of sun light time.

In Bible times, the sunlight was key to activity, and unlike today, artificial light was very limiting.  Therefore, much is found in scripture of "light" being more associated with the sunlight than artificial light.

God fulfilled His promise and gave Jesus Christ the promise of the Holy Spirit.  He in turn offered the Promise to mankind.  This promise, through Him, is to those who would confess Him with their mouth and believe in their heart that God has raised Him from the dead.

Act 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

2nd Corinthians 5:16-17 (New Int. K.J.V.); "So, from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view.  Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; THE OLD HAS GONE () THE NEW HAS COME!"

Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

In the beginning of this new DAY, on the DAY of Pentecost, it was as the dividing of the light from the darkness that was on the face of the deep or dark cultures of the world.  The Gift of the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father, was as the beginning of the DAYLIGHT portion of a new DAY of a new creation.

Before He came to the world at large, in the form of the Holy Spirit, Jesus came unto "His own" first, in the flesh.  He came as promised unto His own, born of a woman; "the root and the offspring of David" yet born of God.  Still, His own received Him not.  It is important to understand here, that; as long as He was in the world in the flesh, He was the light of the world at that time.

Joh 9:3-5 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.  As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

However He was only to be the light to the Jews, not to the whole
world at that time.

Mat 15:22  And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

Mat 15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

Mat 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Jesus was the light that had come into the world, limited by God, at
that time, to only minister to the Jewish people, the "lost sheep of the
house of Israel" and only for three and one half years.  He was then,
the "light of the world", and then…the light went out.

Luk 23:44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. (about high noon until 3pm)

Luk 23:45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

Luk 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Perhaps it is enough to say; for the Jews at that time; evening began
the new day, (sunset).  Sunrise was always exactly at the beginning of
the first hour (the zero hour), and sunset marked  the end of the

twelfth hour.  Therefore, high noon would begin the sixth hour
and the ninth hour would begin at 3pm.

Therefore, at about the brightest part of the natural day, the "light of the world" had gone out….

He must have agonized in physical pain.  Perhaps He suffered the most as the sin He bore for us separated Him from His heavenly Father.  The one who lovingly formed this magnificent creation was humiliated, brutalized and died in agony. Thus He finished the work He was destined to do.

God's creation had a fit!!  The rocks were rent, the earth quaked and darkness covered the entire earth. We have no idea from the little that is recorded about it of the tumultuous groaning of the creation, worldwide. Creation was in travail.

There was Darkness over the entire world for 3 hours; then burial preparations; then… the grave near evening and the beginning of the new Jewish day.

Evening to morning to evening…(day one).  Evening to morning to evening…(day two).  Evening to early morning on the third day, Jesus was in the grave and the light of the world was out.

2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

But God…death could not reign and early in the morning on the 3rd day, I can imagine that hells demons realized, by then, they had made a fatal tactical error.

Joh 16:19  Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?

Joh 16:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

Psa 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Mar 8:31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Luk 24:2-8 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher.

And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

And they remembered his words,

So it was fulfilled in real time, the prophecies that pointed to this specific place in time, this very specific morning, this very specific resurrection.

The mysteries of Christ and the Kingdom of God are not unlike ripples in a pool from a stone cast in.   Perhaps these prophetic mysteries are also as an onion; when one layer is removed, another remains.  Revelation will come in God's time at God's good pleasure, one layer at a time, "Morning by Morning".

Isa 50:4 The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

A time and times and the dividing of time

A Time and Times and the Dividing of Time

                                                                                                                                                                                     B. Keith Chadwell

This is the first of a series of 4 studies;
1. A Time and Times the Dividing of Time
2. Morning by Morning
3. The Bright and Morning Star
4. Full Daylight Comes

Dan 7:25  And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time

For thousands of years after Adam, mankind lived a natural life in the earth, his flesh being, pretty much, the "big dog" trying to run the show.   Since the fall of Adam and Eve most men had not known much of the Spirit of God and the mysteries of His will for His mankind and His creation.  This history of spiritual and cultural darkness is documented.  The wickedness of man and the resulting evil fruit without Gods direct, personal, governing hand in their lives is chronicled, beginning in Genesis and goes on.

We see the wickedness of man in the earth peak in the days of Noah, followed by God's judgment.  God has plans unknown to flesh and blood.  In that plan for His man and His creation there was included a culture change at that time.  God chose to make that change in His time, to serve His purpose, in His way.  Build an ark? Can you hear the masses ridicule as Noah is building it?  Not so ridiculous later, as I imagine walls of water cascading upon them.

Much later on, after man fell back into the same dark wicked pattern as before, there was another culture change.  God confounds the language of evil men who are now working in unity.  This culture change scatters these men abroad.  Men in the earth then are speaking different languages and therefore now develop many dark cultures and kingdoms in the earth.  These separate cultures and kingdoms, no longer united, selfishly turn on each other.

Later, God speaks to a Chaldean, the son of an idol maker, about a plan by which, through him, would come; Isaac and Jacob and a chosen people.  A people God would use to blueprint, hide and implement His plan to redeem His mankind and His creation from cultural and spiritual darkness. This was, yet, another change in mankind's business as usual.

Note; Like Noah, God's word is all Abraham needed to hear and then… he obeyed.  No confirmation, no committee, no study group, no vote.

Gen 12:1-4  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

The natural types and shadows in the "Old Testament" were ordained, by God, for His purposes and at His direction were to serve as a hiding place for the Mysteries of the Kingdom to come.   Before Christ (BC), it was impossible for the Jews, Gentiles or principalities and powers to see or understand anything about the Kingdom of God that was to come.

Without Christ, seeing the possibilities of such a government would be impossible for the natural man.  And, none of the princes of this world knew; for if they had known they would have tried to foil the plan.

The arrival of Jesus initiated the greatest division in times and changes in world cultures in the history of creation.  It was; "a time (BC) and times (AD) and a dividing of these times.    BC AD         God had arrived in the earth …in Spirit and in Truth.  This new culture in the earth would be established at this point in time and eternity and from that division in time henceforth it would grow, fill the earth and last…. forever more.

Dan 7:25  And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time

Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

The Jewish people, with notable exceptions, came to the focal point of this greatest division of time and culture in history and failed to make the transition.  Jesus came unto His own and they did not acknowledge or receive Him, to their own destruction.

With the coming of Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God and the Son of man into the earth, the darkness once again would be separated from the light. It was the beginning of the first day of a new creation.
