A Gospel Nugget for 2.23.2013

A Gospel Nugget 2.23.2013
“Kingdom”; a contraction of; “King’s Dominion” or where the King rules or has dominion.

Luke 17:20-21 (ASV) And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God cometh, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you.

What are we looking for...? B. Keith Chadwell

What are we looking for, "Natural" things or "Spiritual" things??

If Christians continue to let their natural minds rule instead of minding the things of the Spirit, we will continue to remain infants and not come to the maturity, in Christ Jesus, that God has purposed for His church.

Come up higher Church. We are NEW creations in Christ, old things have passed away, and all things have become new.

2nd Corinthians 5:16-17 (New Int. K.J.V.); "So, from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; THE OLD HAS GONE () THE NEW HAS COME!"

Coming out of Babylon   B. K. Chadwell

The Disobedience of the Children of Israel resulted in the Babylonian captivity.  Seventy years later the opportunity to return to their homeland and rebuild Jerusalem, the temple and their way of life under God was presented.

Those captive Jews choosing to return to Palestine and rebuild the temple were faced with unprecedented Change and resistance from friends and foes alike.

The Jews in Babylonian captivity were never forced, the opportunity was only offered for them to come out of Babylon and return...the call was sent out.

Years later, the Apostle John, with divine inspiration, would pen words which were keyed to Jewish days of captivity in Babylon,  yet, somehow, mysteriously connected and directed  to Christians then... and perhaps for Christians now, as well.....        (Continue Reading)

Full Daylight Comes

Full daylight

Full Daylight Comes        B. Keith Chadwell

This is the fourth of a series of 4 studies; 1. A Time and Times the Dividing of Time; 2. Morning by Morning ; 3. The Bright and Morning Star ; 4. Full Daylight Comes.

These studies are posted on www.highcountryministry.com and may be accessed from the teachings page.

1Jn 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

When the DAY of Pentecost was fully come, (9am) He came to His followers once again. This time, He did not come to them "in the flesh" as they had known Him before His death on the cross. He did not even come to them as He had appeared in Spirit and in truth in His glorified body, after His resurrection, before His final ascension.

He came to them, this time, as the angel said He would come, as they stood staring up at the cloud that finally concealed Him from their sight at His final ascension; …"this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." Acts 1:11

He came again to them, even like He left them…in the Spirit. He came in the Spirit again. Not with a breath with which they first received the Holy Spirit. This time; like "a mighty wind", with "tongues of fire" and "endued with power from on high", as God fulfilled His promise to Abraham and which He had foretold by the mouths of all of His prophets.     (continue reading)
