The power to become Sons of God

The Power to “become” sons of God              B. Keith Chadwell

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become
the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

The power, in the sense of ability, “to become; that is;…"to cause to be ... to become ...

…come into being" and be manifest to the world as Sons of God is available to every believer.   It is; the promise of “the Spirit”, “the promise of the Father”, “the promise of His Holy Spirit”.  This is; "Christ in us…the hope of glory".

This “power to” become” has been available to every generation of believers since
Pentecost, even unto the uttermost parts of the earth.  Until the earth would be;
…”filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.”

This is the only way God’s rule, or God’s dominion or God’s government or His Kingdom can come in Earth.  It is the only way God’s dominion, in earth, will ever be fully manifest in earth, as it is in heaven.

As believers choose to allow the Spirit of God to work in them, to influence their hearts, we “become” more like Him.   Until, we  no longer are righteous by faith,  but have  “become” righteous “in deed” and the manifestation of “Christ in us” moves outwardly from overflowing hearts to neighborhoods, then to nations and finally is FULLY manifest in the earth, as it is in heaven.

Not a...."someday"....demonstration or manifestation of the divine nature of God through believers.   No,..."The Kingdom or Kings-Dominion which is "within you" is AT HAND.

For God, through Jesus Christ, has purposed that a people will manifest His divine nature in the earth, through "Christ" and the work of the Holy Spirit in them.  A people, who will choose to hear and obey His words and will fully manifest His divine nature to a wicked and perverse generation.  These will be Sons of God without need of further correction or rebuke.   This company of His servants and handmaids, through the work of; "Christ in them" will judge and convict the nations and will judge principalities and powers.  His conviction and judgments through this company will shake both the heavens and the earth, for these are "a great people and a strong".

Once, there were a small number of such a people who were in "one accord", clothed
with the Spirit and the power of God. They lived in the first century. Those like
Stephen, Peter, John, Paul and others.  Perhaps they were the "first fruits" of a
"former rain "; forerunners of a company that was to come.   God knows.

There have been others like those in the first century on down through the centuries,
since.  However, there has not been the likes of those in notable numbers "in one
accord."... "even to the years of many generations"., awake:

" Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling,
and wrung them out. “....Isa 51:17

...  "Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again: But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over."… Isa 51:21-23

"Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be
judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?  1Co 6:2-3

This power or ability “to become”; not just children of God but mature, in Christ's
likeness, manifest Sons, is and has been available to EVERY believer.  Yet, to reach
the goal or mark or complete the race set before us at Pentecost, we must "see" that we are empowered to, all, come to perfection, even unto the stature and measure of ou
pattern Son.  We must see it is God's purpose for us “to become” , fully mature, Sons of God, builded together into a holy habitation or dwelling place of God.  Where Christ is in the Father and He dwells in us, and we in Him, fully .

John 14:20  At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

John 1:12-13  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the
sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  Which were born, not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

To be led by the Spirit of God will result in manifesting the fruits of Sonship or in other words; “the manifestation of this perfection as the Sons of God".  NOT just in some sweet by and by or some future manifestation, but it is available for us, now, also.
It is still "AT HAND".

Rom 8:14  For as many as are led  by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

We say, "how can this be?"    .......again.........."as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God".

You and I can do nothing without Him.  Our fleshly and soulish natures must not take the lead anymore.  He must lead.

Again we say,  “yes  but how can this be?”  It can only be with the synergy of "one accord" in co-operation with the Spirit of God and we must start with the small things. Those who exalt themselves to higher things are setting themselves up to be brought low.   However, IF we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God.  In due time, He will exalt us.  There is NO OTHER WAY to become, fully mature, Sons of God !!!

There is a principle in God: Be faithful with the little things God gives us, He
then will give us more.

James tells us that our tongue is a "little member" which NO Man can tame.   Yet,
we have been given the choice to surrender our "LITTLE" tongues to God, through
and by the Holy Spirit.  We have been given the power ....”to become” vessels of honor when we allow the Spirit of God to pray through us, a perfect prayer, always, in
accordance with the will of God.  (Romans 8:)  We can not do this on our own,
and God has purposed that He will not do it without us, at this time.

Christians, by and large, have not understood the dynamics of what the Lord is requiring of His sons as they work together with Him, synergistically, to bring forth the Kingdom, first within themselves and then within all of creation.

John 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Let’s start by ...yielding  our tongues to the Holy Spirit to pray and praise in accordance with the perfect will of God.    ..."not weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

Now don't be surprised, as we are faithful with our tiny tongue, He will be able to work in us, more and more of His rule and we will be, more and more;  led by the Spirit” and thereby we will “become” more and more like Him, even unto the full manifestation of the "Christ in us".

"…open thy mouth wide", and I will fill it..." Ps 81:10

If one can rout a thousand, then see the exponential effect of "unity of
purpose" being demonstrated as David's, rag tag, wilderness army comes together,
progressively,  in "one accord".  This is for us to see, now and learn by the Holy
Spirit what God has purposed, even for a pile of dry bones in the wilderness, like us, as it were.

Ezekiel 37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a
noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

This is that… and has been since Pentecost......The Kingdom or Kings-dominion or Rule
of God or... choosing to be Led by the Spirit.  This is that.....and it is still...."AT Hand".

There is much to do, most of it... in the Spirit.  So, let us press on toward the
mark…the goal, the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.   The time is at hand.

Joh 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Psa 81:10  I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Zep 3:9  For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.

Eze 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
